The biggest hurdle in the remodeling of a place is getting short on cash. There is nothing more frustrated than knowing that you are expanding from your set budget. It is better to do some DIY to save a hefty amount. Know that you can do almost half of the work quickly with the tutorials and a bit of guidance. Installing a sliding door in a metal building is not a difficult task. You only need a bit of experience in architecture. You need to install an acoustic ceiling track to secure the door properly. Below we are providing a comprehensive look at everything to do with sliding doors. Try to have an expert with you before starting this project.

Materials

· 2 -verticals

· 1-bottom rail

· rear stop

· 1-stay guide

· Steel horizontals

· 2-side snuggers

· 1-door pull

Directions:

Measure the width and height of the opening distance of the door. Make sure you have approximately two to three inches of overlap on the width and a half to one inch of overlap on the length.

Now you need to cut the vertical rails according to the height of the gate.

After that, cut all horizontals of the width according to the measured size. Try to place all the horizontals spaced no more than twenty-five inches on center. Now, cut the bottom rail at the same width as horizontals. Select a horizontal as a top rail, and then you need to drill a 17/32” circle centered one inches in from the outer face and twelve inches in from each end for the trolleys.

Now, on a clear, you need to lay vertical rails in place with the J-trim. The J-trim should be facing upward. After that, insert a top rail in one end of vertical rails, and insert all remaining horizontals or approximately twenty-four inches on center. After that, insert the bottom rail facing upward with the ribs.

Now, secure the grid using a self-tapping screw at each of the four corners. Try to install all screws through the extruded grooves in the verticals.

Now, square the door and measure it from corner to corner. Now, adjust rails as you need them until both measurements are equal. Now keeping both diagonals equally, install a screw in every corner.

At this step, turn the frame assembly over and align the door. After keeping both diagonals equal, you need to install two screws in every corner joint. Secure all intermediate horizontals with four screws on every joint.

Now, install the door skin into the verticals and tighten to girts. Install trolley hangers to the top rail in drilled holes.

Put the door track on the frame. Remember that the door frame should be double the door opening width. Attach brackets to track twenty-four inches on center. Now, position the track as you need and allow the door to open securely. Measure and attach the trail to track plank using a ten-gauge ring shank nails.

At last, slide the door to the closed position. Turn the guide rail opposite side so that the places are visible.
